      Amber

Find the unique beauty of amber!  Amber is a unique and ancient gemstone formed from fossilized tree resin, dating back millions of years. Its history spans various cultures and civilizations.  The earliest uses of amber can be traced to the Neolithic period, where it was crafted into jewelry and amulets in regions such as the Baltic Sea, where significant deposits are found. The ancient Greeks called it "elektron," and they believed it had magical properties, associating it with the sun and life.  In ancient Rome, amber was highly valued for its beauty and believed to have protective qualities. It was often used in jewelry and as a decorative material. Amber also played a role in trade routes, particularly along the Amber Road, which connected the Baltic to the Mediterranean.  Today, amber is appreciated not only for its warm hues and aesthetic appeal but also for its ability to preserve ancient inclusions, such as insects and plants, providing valuable insights into prehistoric ecosystems. Amber remains a cherished gemstone, symbolizing natural beauty and history.  Because amber is a very soft stone (just 2-2.5 on Moh's scale), it is not recommended for rings.  However, it is perfectly suited for pendants and earrings.

Choose your perfect gemstone to add to your jewelry collection or have it custom made into a one-of-a-kind piece just for you.
