Topaz is November's birthstone. Most people only ever see this gem in its commercial quality...typically a yellow to orangish-yellow (or a treated blue). However, there is a very stunning variety of this gem called Imperial Topaz. You might see this name thrown around a lot as there is no clear-cut standard for the term so it has become a bit of a sales word rather than a descriptive one. The best forms though take on a pinkish hue moving into a shade of purple. This exquisite 1.62ct gem is one of these rarer varieties of true imperial topaz with a lovely pink color and a beautiful oval-cut.
